The beginning
Rope'n Rescue Belgium was created by GRIMP enthusiasts from the Beaumont Fire Service. The aim was simple: share, test, learn and showcase rope-rescue possibilities.
Since 2009, a passion that became a tradition
Born from rescue operations in hazardous environments, Rope'n Rescue Belgium has become known for its high standards, original scenarios and family spirit.
At first, a few enthusiasts shared their techniques with firefighters from the Beaumont fire service. Other profiles then joined the adventure, training expanded, competitions inspired the group and the idea of creating a Belgian event took shape.

Police officers and other motivated people join the training sessions. Exchanges become richer, profiles mix and the rope-rescue community continues to grow.
Namur, Fontainebleau, Gardanne, Seville and other encounters inspired the team to go further. Taking part in competitions led to one idea: creating our own event.
Year after year, locations, teams and scenarios evolve. Tyrolines, forts, castles, quarries, dams, pontoons, confined spaces and night workshops shape the event’s identity.
Rope'n Rescue Belgium already represents more than one hundred scenarios designed in varied locations across Belgium: Tour Salamandre in Beaumont, Château des Vignes in Thirimont, Vieux Moulin in Solre-Saint-Géry, Barbençon quarry, Fort de Dave, Eau d'Heure dam, Pairi Daiza and many more.
The competition is physically demanding while keeping a family atmosphere. Participants come for realistic situations, technical challenges and meaningful encounters.
Teams must read the terrain, choose a tactic, master their equipment, stay focused and adapt their knowledge to the environment.
