Individual and collective equipment
Helmets, harnesses, lanyards, connectors and progression equipment must meet CE standards and be kept in perfect condition.
Team competition
No predefined solution. Think. Adapt. Rescue.
Operational scenarios in which every team must analyse, decide, secure the area and rescue.
Team
Each team consists of 5 members: 1 team leader and 4 members specialised in rope rescue. Roles are assigned freely according to the team’s strategy and the scenario requirements.
Analyse the situation, secure the area, approach the victim and relay useful information.
Develop a plan, install the systems, manage the clock and coordinate the team under pressure.
Care for the victim and carry out a safe, smooth and professional evacuation.
Sporting challenges
The sporting challenges push each team to its limits. Strength, endurance, speed and coordination are tested, but success also depends on leadership, strategy and technical mastery.
Original challenges combining physical effort, problem-solving, time management and rapid adaptation.
One team leader and four members must work effectively under pressure.
Reward the most complete teams: power, intelligence, technique and team spirit.
Safety & Excellence
Safety is the absolute priority. Every manoeuvre must comply with international rope-rescue standards: dual safety systems, independent lines, rope protection, self-locking devices and redundant anchors.
Helmets, harnesses, lanyards, connectors and progression equipment must meet CE standards and be kept in perfect condition.
Technical officials check redundancy, protection and correct use of equipment.
The same technical requirements ensure a fair, realistic competition aligned with professional practice.
Assessment
Assessment does not reward speed alone. Judges evaluate safety, tactical decisions, communication, technical mastery, stress management and the smoothness of each manoeuvre.
Victim care represents an essential part of the final score.
A sound strategy matters as much as a well-executed manoeuvre.
A technically perfect intervention only has value if the victim is treated seriously and professionally.
Rope spirit
Rope'n Rescue Belgium brings together teams from several countries around original scenarios, continuous experience-sharing and a recognised family atmosphere.
Each edition is an opportunity to exchange methods, equipment and operational feedback.
A demanding competition, always conducted in a spirit of safety and friendliness.
Scenarios are never reused and no solution is imposed.
