Technique, safety and realism

Equipment

Rope'n Rescue Belgium relies on progression and rescue equipment suited to rope work. Each workshop is designed to provide credible situations within a controlled framework.

Equipment designed for the field

Each station combines technique, common sense and vigilance. The goal is to offer realistic, clear and varied situations that test several aspects of rope rescue.

Ropes Anchors Rescue Checks

Equipment families

The equipment covers the main needs of a rope operation: access, progression, safety, evacuation and team communication.

01

Ropes and anchors

Semi-static ropes, anchors, slings, connectors and load sharing to build reliable systems.

02

Individual PPE

Helmets, harnesses, lanyards, descenders, ascenders and belay systems to protect each operator.

03

Victim rescue

Stretchers, evacuation kits, protection, immobilisation and accessories to simulate realistic care.

04

Progression

Equipment for vertical or horizontal movement, rappels, rope ascents, tyrolean traverses and crossings.

05

Communication

Briefings, instructions, defined roles and clear communication between team members, victims and supervisors.

06

Checks

Cross-checks, workshop supervision and adaptation of manoeuvres to field conditions.

During the events

The scenarios test more than technical performance. Teams must also manage stress, time, communication and collective safety.

  • Install a system before moving a victim.
  • Anticipate friction, angles and possible failure points.
  • Keep a clear understanding of each team member's role.
  • Adapt the technique to the terrain and the victim.

A secure framework

Each exercise is designed to remain educational and controlled. Equipment, instructions and supervision serve the same goal: letting teams push themselves without losing sight of safety.
